Like in many houses along the beach, also this house surrounded by large balconies, is dominated with light colours. From the living area to the kitchen, from the dining area until the entrance all in glass, the walls are decorated in a style typical of houses from Venice. Obviously everything is well designed and the shining effect on the outer surface multiplies the reflection of light. Everything reflects off everything else, walls, slabs of precious black stone, an elegant table in smooth, lightly coloured marble by Eero Saarinen (1956), and the two large Murano chandeliers that dominate everything from the edge
of the two living rooms. Across the garden you go up a large white wooden staircase that reaches the front door where there are two imposing lanterns. From the entrance hall the house opens up to its two levels. In front of the main door there’s a stairway that also acts as a division between the various rooms. To the left, the Bulthaup kitchen in stainless steel with overhead kitchen fan and breakfast bar faithfully recaptures the architectural structure of the stairs built with the same material. To the right, we have the large living area furnished with pillows, Di DOM edition tables, and Venini vases that have been collected by the owner. Finally, there’s the dining area, where a large Transavangvardia painting called “towards the sea” compliments the red Murano chandelier.
